ABC radio broadcast 1959 Ron Ackfield — Ray Horne — Wally Lund — Ken Wooldridge Lorraine Marter: Does anyone remember when they had a Light Entertainment dept at the ABC and recordings were done in an old church in Hindmarsh Square on Grenfell St, and the guys had to take in blankets to hang around the room because it echoed so much which interfered with the recorded sound. I have a photo of it somewhere.

Ian Scotty McCulloch What a great picture. Wally Lund as I remember, led the Ch9 orchestra when TV first fired up in South Australia.

Peter Head And Thelma Dent , the Russian classical pianist who had the studio opposite him He sent me to her for a while too. Then there was Bobby Gebert .

Above photo: Unknown where this is but must be in the late 1940s or early 50s.

If there is anyone still alive who knows please let me know. Photo by John Stephens. Lance Sturtzel Great photo of the good old traditional Saturday night country dance band combo of piano, sax and drums,… with a trumpet player tossed in for good measure.
