Derek Manning
An Adelaide born bass player.
Derek began his career with his own band, Adelaide’s “Exiles” with his brother Phil during the sixties.
During the mid sixties, he and Harry Herni who had been also a member of “The Exiles”. They both joined forces with Bob Gardiner and Peter Mackay forming “The Harts”.
The four members recorded under “The Harts” a single “Little Girl” in 1967.
Later during that period Derek left the band and would team up with his brother Phil as a duo.
During the later years he now plays with the Adelaide band “The Rustlers” performing in Adelaide and country areas.

Garry Burrows (lead vocals and rhythm guitar)
John Murphy (lead guitar and vocals)
Gary Cailes (drums, percussion and vocals)
Derek Manning (bass and vocals)
