Freddie Marsden

An English drummer born in The Dingle, Liverpool,UK.

Brother of Gerry of “Gerry and The Pacemakers.

Gerry and The Pacemakers were a British rock and roll group during the 1960s. In common with The Beatles, they came from Liverpool and were managed by Brian Epstein.

Having world wide success the band were managed by the Brian Epstein Organisation during the sixties.

The band disbanded in 1966 with only two years of being at the top.

Gerry, his brother kept a backing group together as “The Pacemakers” but this was really Gerry going solo.

After the group broke up Freddie Marsden went to work for British Telecom with his drums disgarded in the garage, he never touched his drums again.

Sadly Marsden died in the same house he was born, 8 Menzies Street, The Dingle, Liverpool. In 2006, aged 66 years.
