BIOGRAPHICAL PROFILE
John Carlini
An Australian bass player.
John’s Career started professionally in 1969 with “The James Wright Band”.
The group formed in Adelaide, South Australia releasing chart topping hit, “LOUISE”.
During the seventies the group became Adelaide’s top backing group accompanying artists such as John Farnham, Ronnie Burns, Johnny Young etc.
John also played with the legendary “Chuck Berry” at the Appollo stadium in 1976.

John moved to Sydney forming his own band “Raw Materia”’ presenting artists such as Barrie McAskill, Wendy Saddington and Peter Head and many others.
Joining band “The Head Hunters” the group enjoyed enormous success supporting the likes of George Thorogood, Canned Heat, The Fabulouse Thunderbirds.
John has jammed with Mick Talyor, Bo Didley and played with BB King at King’s 64th Birthday party on Sydney Harbour during Kings international tour with “U2”.
John’s career as an actor started 13 years ago on stage in the local
Adelaide theatre scene.
Involved in numerous productions that include “Julius Caesar” – “The King and I” – “The Emporers Nightingale”.
Also performing on many Radio and Television shows as well.
John returned to Adelaide in 1992 forming ’The Healers’.
Teaming up with “Blind Dog Taylor” they recorded two CD’s and won Best Artist Award in 1996.
John has recorded numerous CD’s with local artist including Chris Finnen.
Playing for well over three decades, John’s love of the profession he has chosen shows with his zest and enthusiasm for music has kept him in work for most of his career.
