Troupadors

An Australian band, Formed in Perth, Western Australia.

One must consider that the “Troupadors” were a one off group with the capasity to play all concepts of music that included the Little Richard sound with a hard pumping out-put that would make anyone want dance. The band had it all, presentation, sound, harmony, the works.

The “Troupadores” reunited in 1999 with their main line-up of 1974 era. They performed energetically and courageously and made it seemed no time had lapsed. Once agaain proving to their audience their sensational music, songs and on stage presentation.

In the seventies they made history on the first TV show beamed live from the Sydney Opera House as part of a star-studded line-up. Meanwhile, in their hometown of Perth, they held the unofficial title of the coolest showmen on the club circuit for decades.

They played to a recent sell-out gig in Perth’s southern suburbs to celebrate their 50th anniversary.

Peter, first fronted the band in 1963

The now line up includes, Peter Slatter (bass), Gary Howard (drums), Bill Blissett (keyboard) and Al McOwart (guitar), family.
