When I joined this band they were already doing very well playing mostly Tijuana Brass music. Check out the bands and uniforms … Burgundy coats & beige pants…. we were all underage but the outfits got us into all the night clubs so we could look & learn from all the top bands in town which we were determined to become, not stars just the best band….how times have changed!
Anyway we backed lots of top Australian Artists,,, Ricky May, Johnny O’Keefe, John Farnham, Russell Morris & many others. These shots of Russell & John were taken on the Innaloo shopping centre roof top, a couple of weeks later we supported the Easybeats up there on there return from England. By this stage though we were doing some soul music & Max Merritt & the Meteors were a major influence, Chicago Transit Authority was about to be .
